The Kerala State Emergency Operations Centre functions directly under the administrative and supervisory control of Additional Chief Secretary, Disaster Management as he is the State Relief Commissioner and State Incident Commander.
The administrative decisions related to Kerala State Emergency Operations Centre are made by the State Executive Committee (SEC) of Kerala State Disaster Management Authority. The State Executive Committee of KSDMA are:
- Chief Secretary – Chairman
- Additional Chief Secretary, Home – Member
- Additional Chief Secretary, Revenue & Disaster Management – Member Convener
- Additional Chief Secretary, Finance – Member
- Additional Chief Secretary, Health – Member
The SEC has delegated its powers for disaster risk reduction to the Additional Chief Secretary, Disaster Management as the Convener of KSDMA and SEC vide GO (Rt) No. 2167/16/DMD dated 19-03-2016. Day-to-day functions of the SEOC are delegated to the Head, State Emergency Operations Centre by the SEC.
